NextGen sailing the boat of their own?



Today the talk of the town from where I come is - which Bschool to get graduated.
Or which university and stream of qualification will fetch me a decent job.
Would I be eligible with my current score basis my Segmentation by the government of SC/ST/OC/MBC/BC etc..

Its race time everywhere, catch the bus or do not miss your flight. But the question that keeps coming to my mind often – ‘what is my final destination’? what is my dream? What is my passion?
Am i having the talent towards the passion of life? Is not both passion and the talent that can scale up to hights? – if my thought is right; Then why are we working reverse?

Why do i spend hours and hours of time correcting my weakness rather than sharpening my strengths.

I actually love painting, sketching creating new things – basically art. But i am no good at it, no where near any standards of basis, will i excel it in? The answer is NO. Then i should enjoy seeing others making a good job out of it, and find out my other strengths and also the passion towards it.

So finally, where is this Next Generation running behind? Is advises turning out to be Consulting? And so Costing? That there is no direction towards what each child wants to aspire and excel today?

Mentor

At every stage of our life we have a mentor and as humans we seek out to one. There is no age factor and all one needs to be qualified with is experience or the relevant knowledge for the same. I am proud to say that my younger sister has also been one, but it’s when she always tells me about my spellings and the uncanny communication I recollect one such mentor of my life. There were many challenges I faced at work place – one was; my superiors been compared with a shop floor entrant (me) by my super seniors, that I am sure hits their ego. She called me one day on one of the emails I had circulated to a small group internally, asked me to tell her the reason why I wrote such an email. She patiently listened to it completely and asked me to read the email loudly right on her desk that I had sent. I found that funny and at the same time curious why she wanted me to do it. On reading it I realized that what I intended did not come out on that email as clearly the way I explained to her.

Sleep Cricket… Dream Cricket…. Eat Cricket….. Breathe Cricket……………………

Little do I know about cricket. But hey! Wait, here is my cousin who dreams, sleeps, talks, walks and breathes cricket. It is just not a dream but a dream come true. No dream is a success or achievement till there is hard work and dedication. Behind any success or achievement there is a whole lot of hard work, self-driven PASSION towards achieving the goal, BOOST and MOTIVATION at every moment. This is where the key role of parents and supporters come into picture. As for my cousin, his mom (Chitra), dad (Ravichandran) and grandpa (Narayanaswami) have, and are continuing to give their full support to him since his age eight to be a self-made and successful cricket player.
