Near Yet Far ... Far yet near

Digitization is such a wonderful means to connect with the ones far and feel the warmth of being near.  It sure is a blessing. However, not at the cost of the time with a loved one sitting right next to you. Or is that person to be treated afar rather than to be a near and dear one? Sitting next to your loved one but looking into a text.  Sitting next to your friend but watching TV. Sitting next to your child but laughing at a status post on FB. Sitting next to your guest who has entered home but listening to music! Well these are all Movie time or tv time or entertainment time, but never family time. Smiling conversation and pleasant patient responses helps bond irrespective of age. What is the rush? Which train of death are we running behind to give that rush into things that are near than the ones that are far? Near your beach, enjoy the waves.... Near your spouse, look into their eyes to have a quality conversation.. Near your child, drop everything and never stop to corre...

Oneness it is - Gratitude to Nature

Saluting to the gratitude journey, that I yet again pen down last weeks thoughts on gratitude to nature than on pen and paper. While we were asked to write about another 5 areas to be grateful to mother nature. I must admit it goes way beyond 5. Nature, who are you? Nature where are you?                Nature, you are the mother of mothers Nature you are the womb of creation Nature you are the miracle called life Nature you are in one and all. Nature without you there is no existence in this physical dimension Life giver and nurturer Yin and yang Sun and moon Heat and cold Man and woman Trees and insects flowers and bees earth and ether water and fire and the list may go on, without one the other cannot exist.    I can see you as me and me as you dear nature. Without you i dont exist and without me you dont. So i wonder why we humans call nature that we observe through our senses only? Am i not part of this nature by itself? Easy wa...

Love Letter to myself

While i am a total old school and prefer to draft out or write out on paper and pen. I choose today to type here a love letter to myself. I wish to reread it at a later date. I wonder how it would be to write a letter to myself and that too a love note. Well you may think why i got cranky as such, but this is out of a group i joined and lovely people sharing gratitude to each and everything we have in our life currently, that we take it sooo for granted. Dedicating this post to each and everyone who are part of the gratitude group and to each of you who have understood the true love within you. SO here i go, To my dearest Ramya, I want you to know i love you loads and as i start to write this letter realized i have missed out appreciating you for all that you do.  You have an air of taking things as it comes. Today I wish to tell you that lots of people whom you have chosen in your life as important and their beliefs has made you feel that, a casual affair to take it as it comes is...

When life becomes transactional

Image
Next moment has always been unpredictable, unfortunately till we foresee a physical demise in front of our own eyes particularly a loved one, understanding this concept is generally tough. Having said about unpredictability, today in #covid situation faced all over the world, we all are aware of the fact more clearly; what is the true meaning of unpredictability. However, I could not stop myself today but to pen this down about life turned transactional. What is the true dictionary meaning of transactional? Means a give and take or take and give. Eg, mostly it was referred only for financial reasons since you pay for a product or service and that's called a transaction. But why I am I saying life itself has become transactional? Are we buying and selling amongst our own kith and kin? The non cash transactions are flooded,  You greet me I will greet you You smile at me I will smile at you You hit me I will hit you back You gifted me so I have to gift you back You fed me so I have to...
